'Galway Girl - Sharon Shannon, Mundy & Galway City'

The biggest ever street performance of a famous song called 'Galway Girl' took place in June 11th, 2016 in Galway, Ireland. 




A recording breaking number of over 15000 people came along to take part in the performance. A lot of singers, artists and supporters were there!.

Estimados padres y madres de 1º, 2º, 3º, 4º y 5º de Educación Primaria:

Con el fin de que vuestros hij@s sean conocedores de aspectos socioculturales de la lengua extranjera que están estudiando, la semana del 13 al 17 de marzo celebraremos en el colegio la festividad de ‘Saint Patrick’s Day’. Ésta es muy popular en Irlanda y desde el centro la vamos a trabajar haciendo énfasis en que nuestros alumnos reflexionen sobre deseos positivos dirigidos a otra persona -`I wish´-(familia, amigos, profesores,...).

El día 17 de marzo (viernes), realizaremos una actividad de centro para la cual los alumnos de 1º, 2º 3º, 4º y 5º de Educación Primaria deberán venir vestidos con una camiseta verde, un pantalón oscuro y un cinturón (puede ser uno que tengan en casa o hecho con cartulinas u otro material).




IMPORTANTE PARA LOS ALUMNOS DE 4º Y 5º:
A lo largo de los días antes citados haremos varias manualidades en las clases de Inglés. Les animamos y pedimos que ayuden a sus hijos en casa a realizar un sencillo sombrero con barba como el que pueden ver en las siguientes fotos: 




La "banda" o "tira" verde debe quedar ajustada a la cabeza del niño/a y la barba a su cara. El sombrero, tira negra, hebilla y barba se les dará a cada alumno para recortar y montar en casa (sólo se debe grapar todo, o pegar). Deberán traer todo (sombrero ya terminado, camiseta verde, pantalón oscuro y cinturón) el día 17 de marzo,viernes.

Irish dancing is an ancient art of dancing from Ireland. It is a fun art and sport.


There are all different kinds of shoes and clothes . Boys wear a light shoe which have a heal and a leather point. Girls have a flat shoe which is also made of leather


Girls wears dresses which have celtic designs and boys have a trousers and a shirt 


Wigs are a very popular choice .The dancing wigs are very realistic and can be made to suit the colour of the dancers individual hair colour.
